I downloaded RetroForth, gunzip ...
$ cd retroforth $ bin/rf Segmentation fault
There is no core file. If I compile again I have exactly the same executable. What might be wrong? Thanks a lot.
Fedora Core 2, kernel 2.6.8-1.521, 686 CPU

Which version & port of RetroForth are you using? (giving the name of the file you downloaded would be enough to tell this).

Does Fedora Core 2 use SELinux by any chance? The last time I used a distro with SELinux enabled, I couldn't get RetroForth to run due to the way it sets up the memory (rwx across all sections in the executable)

I tried RetroForth on RH9 and just working fine.
If I install rpm's on Fedora it does point to SELinux files, so guess it is using this. My knowledge lacks for SELinux. I couldn't find ways to disable, or W/A to get RetroFort working.
